We are the grandchildren and children of those who had to leave everything behind during the Spanish Civil War. Our grandparents boarded a ship bound for Argentina, the place where we were born, in search of refuge and a better future. They called that journey their ‘ship of hope’ 

The twists and turns of life meant that we, too, had to emigrate, crossing the ocean once again to Spain with the same hope of finding a life full of opportunities. Having experienced migration first-hand, we fully understand the sense of vertigo one feels when changing horizons and starting from scratch far from home
